Village Cinema reopens after flooding caused evacuation

MERIDIAN, Idaho (KBOI) - The movie theater at The Village at Meridian was evacuated Sunday afternoon because of plumbing issues, according to Ada County Dispatch.

Dispatchers say they got a call around 5 p.m. They say the theater had some plumbing problems, which led to water leaking on to electrical equipment.

The theater says a fresh water line broke, which caused some damage on the second floor.

It has since been repaired and the theater says everything has been cleaned up and they are now back open for business.

The theater says anyone who had a viewing interrupted or had their movie showing canceled and get a refund by giving them a call at 208-995-2942.

This video from viewer Andy Schow shows water pouring from the ceiling into a large puddle.
