Hes not some little kid! Brock Purdys consistent intensity sets him apart, says 49

The Brock Purdy criticisms just do not die down. Even though he has performed at a high level time and again, analysts and former players still do not give him credit. They feel he is too young, unproven out of the San Francisco 49ers system, and yet to do something on the field that screams ‘Elite’.

But fellow teammate George Kittle has an opinion of his own. The All-Pro tight end was a guest on the Rich Eisen Show. There, Kittle started explaining to host Rich Eisen how he has seen Brock Purdy grow.

Amy Trask claims Brock Purdy is the 'worst' QB left in the playoffs! #49ers #nfl #brockpurdy #viral
He can play. You just notice it every single day. He's not some little kid. He's consistent at his job, every single day he shows up. He just has like this intensity to him that I don't think people see. He just wants to be really good. I think he's a hell of a quarterback and he makes us all play at a higher level.

Kittle knows the ins and outs of his quarterback better than any critic or fan. Which is why he has this view that Purdy is an elite quarterback. George Kittle revealed that the winning history of past San Francisco 49ers quarterbacks are weighing in on the criticisms. They had two Hall of Famers – Joe Montana and Steve Young throwing passes and winning Super Bowls, which instantly brings a subconscious comparison when critics talk about Purdy.

His performances in the last Super Bowl showed that he can deliver on the biggest stage. Therefore, had the 49ers not fumbled the rule book and won the game, Brock Purdy probably would not have all these criticisms.

George Kittle had a hilarious welcome to the NFL moment with Brock Purdy

George Kittle is probably one of the most fun-loving football players out there. He took that fun-loving approach to mess with Brock Purdy in their first meeting. As he explained in an earlier part of the conversation with Rich Eisen;

So, Brock's first day, I hung an Iowa football short in his locker. which was phenomenal. And he instantly takes it out. He's two lockers down from me and goes 'You put this in here, get this s**t out of my locker.' And I'm just like, 'I'm going to like you. I absolutely know that already.' and he just tosses it on the ground.
George Kittle added

Kittle knew then that Purdy, despite being a rookie, had character. A character that made him toss a rival football jersey from his locker, despite knowing who Kittle is.

Brock Purdy went to Iowa State. The superstar tight end went to the University of Iowa. Even if they are in the same jurisdiction, they are crosstown rivals. So, when Purdy found an Iowa Hawkeye football jersey in his locker, he knew who put it in there.

George Kittle knows that other players might have not responded in the same manner. After all, which late-round rookie would like to mess with the team’s most prominent superstar? Hopefully for Kittle someday that character will end up helping to win a Super Bowl.
