Craig Monroes sexual assault case takes GRAVE turn as Florida police actively investigate alleged

Ex-MLB player Craig Monroe under suspicion of being involved in a sexual assault scandal as accuser reveals details on the incident on social media. Since the incident came to light, Bally Sports and Detroit Tigers have released a joint statement. 

Monroe has been removed indefinitely from his on-air activities until the case comes to a close. Florida police are actively investigating the allegations according to Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office. As per reports, a 35-year-old woman took to social media last month, accusing Monroe of sexually assaulting her for years.

Monroe’s actions started with the woman being a minor, at the age of 12, when the ex-baseballer was expected to be 20. Apart from online accusations, she also reported it to the police. She did not come front all these years thinking about the safety of her family and loved ones, as per report.

Fox2 Detroit who spoke with the accuser at length on the phone, decided to remain anonymous as the case will already be in the spotlight, and she herself wanted to avoid that. The Detroit Tigers and Bally Sports responded in a joint statement that they would be taking this case seriously.

They declared that they would not be reassigning Monroe to his on-air position until he came clear with the accusations. They will also not be answering any questions related to this incident and all questions should be directed towards Craig Monroe or his legal advisor.

Craig Monroe’s attorney denies sexual assault claims

Craig Monroe’s attorney, Michael Manley denied all allegations stating that the 47-year-old is taking this case very seriously and will not tolerate any false accusations. Manley also requested the police to resolve the matter and question the motif of the accuser.

In the early 2000s, the accuser’s family was Monroe’s host family when the baseballer was a minor league player. The whole incident apparently started with him coming into her room and getting physical. Things escalated when they eventually ended up being intimate when she was 15 years old.
