Big brother Shaquille ONeal has three-word advice for Angel Reese amidst Caitlin Clark riva

Since Angel Reese helped LSU win their first-ever NCAA basketball championship, Shaquille O’Neal has been a passionate supporter of the player. However, Reese has been in the middle of an intense rivalry with WNBA and Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, leading to mixed fan opinions on both players. Recently, Shaq shared his views on Reese and her ongoing battles on “The Big Podcast.”

Initially, he openly appreciated her but was quick to offer her a three-word piece of advice that Reese should heed. O’Neal claimed on his podcast that Reese should “stop reading comments” on her social media accounts on Instagram and X.

I have to call her (Angel Reese) and tell her 'stop reading comments' you don't owe an explanation to anybody. Play your game you know.
Shaquille O’Neal said

O’Neal’s advice makes a lot of sense. Since people have various opinions about a player, canceling out the noise is the best thing Reese can do, according to O’Neal.

In addition, Reese has been performing brilliantly lately in the WNBA for her side Chicago Sky which has put her off the hot seat in the media recently. One could well and truly say that O’Neal’s advice to Reese has been coming in handy after all.

Angel Reese honors Shaquille O’Neal as ‘father figure’

Shaquille O’Neal and Angel Reese have a very good bond, with O’Neal being labeled as a mentor to Reese. Shaq was spotted accompanying Reese to the LSU women’s basketball senior ceremony in March 2024 which left the NBA community amazed. Reese also opened up on the bond she has with the Los Angeles Lakers legend.

He just said, people are gonna hate me, People are not gonna like me, people are gonna feel some type of way because they wish they were me, they're gonna judge me. He's (O'Neal) super inspiring to me and a father figure.
Angel Reese told USA Today

O’Neal has also been spotted several times supporting Reese at WNBA games this season. He has made every effort to support her along the way, offering her advice about the sport. Now, with O’Neal’s guidance, she needs to be the best at what she does and should aim to emulate the career of the Lakers legend.
